Meet our designers

MgA. Tomáš Chludil
Head of Department, Tram Vehicles, Buses, Concepts and Visions

Tomáš graduated in industrial design from UMPRUM in Prague. During his studies he cooperated with Škoda Group on his diploma thesis (segment autonomous tram URBI). After graduation, he joined the Research and Development department, where he later co-founded a group dedicated to vehicle design. During that time he was responsible for the design of more than a dozen tram projects. For example, he was involved in the design for the 39T Ostrava, 40T Pilsen, 41T Bonn, 45T Brno trams and the SafeNose (Trio) concept. In addition, he further developed the concept of the segment autonomous tram (SATram), and worked on new concepts for buses and metro sets. He is currently leading the design department.

MgA. Šárka Masojídková
Tram vehicles, Graphics, Concepts and Visions

Šárka graduated from the Czech Technical University and was also at the birth of the Škoda Group’s design department. She is mainly involved in designing tram interiors. She collaborated on the design of the innovative interior of the driver’s seat within the SafeNose (Trio) project or the interior design of the second-generation autonomous tram. She also left her design mark on the trams 39T Ostrava, 40T Pilsen, 41T Bonn, 45T Brno and FCB. In addition to tram design, she also has experience in graphic design and UX. She was involved in the initial phase of the development of the new TDD displays, developed the logo manual and the solution of the 3D physical Škoda logo for its use on the vehicles. She has also developed wraps for some Škoda Group products.

MgA. Tomáš Růžička
Electrical units, 3D printing, Concepts and Visions

Tomáš started working with Škoda Group during his studies at the Prague UMPRUM. For his diploma thesis he chose the concept of the electric multiple unit of the future. His main focus is on the design and visualisation of the exterior of electric multiple units, especially for Finland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. He is currently working on the development of the nose of the new electric multiple unit 22Ev including the development of new modular lights. He is working closely with VÚKV and external suppliers on the project.

UX/UI, Graphics, Concepts and Visions

Denisa joined the Škoda Group’s design department during her master’s studies at the Czech Technical University. She is dedicated to the development and new user interface solutions for tram control systems. This upgraded control screen system was first used on vehicles for the Finnish city of Tampere, and now the system will also be used on vehicles for rnv, Bonn or FCB. She is also involved in graphic design of promotional materials, creating visualisations and is currently working on the design and offers of metro vehicles.

MgA. Kryštof David
Tram vehicles, Buses, VR, 3D printing, Concepts and Visions

Kryštof joined the design team in his final year at the Czech Technical University. His work focuses on designing vehicle interiors. In his early years at Škoda Group, he worked mainly on tram projects, such as the 41T Bonn tram. As part of the SafeNose (Trio) project, he worked on the innovative interior of the driver’s station. He gradually moved from trams to trains. He has been working on the interior of the new electric multiple unit 22Ev for a long time and has also worked on the interior of electric multiple units for Finland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. In addition, he has worked on the interior concept of the semi-autonomous tram and the interior of the electric multiple units of the future. He is also interested in 3D printing technology.
